CALL members will receive a financial award and personalized professional development, developing and acting on personal theories of change as motivated community leaders.
What are the benefits of being a Lab Member?

CALL members will receive a total financial award of $7,500, disbursed over the three-year membership term. The award is considered taxable income.

Lab members will visit 12 different communities across Central Appalachia over the duration of their three-year membership term, learning about what the pursuit of the 2030 goal might look like in different regional contexts.

Lab members will have access to a pool of funds that can be applied toward their professional development needs. Some non-exhaustive ideas for how funds may be used include: tuition, training or coaching, learning from mentors or industry experts, attending conferences or workshops, purchasing tangible materials or memberships, etc.

Lab members will pursue a personalized learning plan, comprised of a tailored ecosytem of leadership development opportunities fine-tuned to their individual aspirations. Members will receive support in identifying experiential, social, and formal learning opportunities aligned to their needs.

Members will engage quarterly with a cohort of peers via networking opportunities and gatherings to drive toward collective impact.

Members will receive support in identifying and accessing stackable public and/or private dollars and benefits to supplement the financial award.
What support is available for Relocating Lab members?

Relocating members who are not recipients of employer-provided relocation assistance are eligible to receive a one-time supplemental award of up to $5,000 (depending on move distance and household size). This award is considered taxable income.

Relocating members will receive customized support in choosing housing, locating amenities, and building a vibrant community in Central Appalachia.
At this time, the Relocation Track is only available for TFA alumni.
